Go Diego Go!!!

Hi guys, it’s Melissa. We left early in the morning from Britany, France. We arrived in Paris a couple hours before the game, so we had lots of time to kill. We decided to go to a mall downtown and shop around for a bit. We went to a sports store and we all got matching colored shirts. After that went to a grocery store to get food and went to a park to eat. By the time we had eaten all the food it was time to go the game. While we were walking around trying to find our gate, we got to see both teams arrive and get off the bus. Once the game started you could barely hear anything because of all the chanting and screaming. We were sitting in the French section too, so whenever we started chanting for the US we got flipped off or yelled at. But when Megan Rapinoe scored in the first minutes we screamed as loud as we could.

Then after a constant back and forth game for sixty more minutes, Megan Rapinoe did it again and put the US up 2-0.

There was another goal scored by Tobin Heath but it was called offsides. With 9 minutes left in the game, Wendie Rerard put one in the back of the net off of her head. Although France tried really hard to tie the game, the final whistle was blown and it was over for France. Now the USA play’s England in the semifinals on Tuesday.

P.S. the reason the title is Go Diego Go!! is because the van that we have is named Diego!!
